Significant change is afoot in health care — delivery system transformation; consumer centric and personalized outreach; accelerated technology development — much of it we can see and anticipate over a 3 – 4 year horizon. But what does the landscape look like when we peer even further into the future? What are the cultural, attitudinal, technological, and economic developments that will likely impact consumers and the health system tomorrow? This session combines provocative foresight – grounded in changes evident today — from Kantar Futures with interactive consideration of the implications for large employers.
Don Abraham's work in the futures field touches on most verticals, and has included keynote presentations to global boards, emerging issues work for B2B and B2C companies, and global scenario planning projects for companies ranging from United Health Group and Ford to IHG and the US Department of Defense.
Don joined Kantar Futures after driving the development and growth of the consulting practice at Social Technologies. At Social Technologies, Don ran the business development process, lead many of the custom engagements, and developed a global practice in foresight for many of the world’s leading companies. Before that, Don was a Senior Manager at a Ernst & Young’s Center for Business Innovation, a leading think-tank that produced world-class perspectives on the future of business.
Don has also been a leading force in the growth and global expansion of the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) where he has been a Director, international conference leader and keynote presenter, and worked to launch the New Product Development Professional certification program.
Don has a BA in Political Science from Franklin & Marshall College and is a certified New Product Development Professional via the PDMA.
